I was raised in the Christian faith by my parents and taught to read the Bible early. Although I didn’t quite understand what it meant to be a Christian at the age of ten, I understand it more and more now.
Life teaches us so many lessons and our faith is usually what guides our response to different life circumstances. Admittedly, I haven’t attended fellowship as often as I once did. As I grow older, a lot of the old traditions, more cultural than religious, no longer define my walk with God. There was a time when I depended on the weekly visits. I now, find myself enjoying spending time with God alone. I read my Bible, pray, and sometimes fellowship online with other believers.
The Bible speaks on fellowshipping and how we shouldn’t neglect it. The Covid pandemic taught a lot of us that fellowship can take on various forms. For me, this is where I’m at. I can’t say that it’ll always be this way but I’m enjoying the sincere walk without thinking about my clothes, hair, and the discomforts that sometimes come with organizational settings.
As I continue to grow in the knowledge of who He is, I pray that a genuine relationship abounds.
